    A great swing development aid

I would like to give this product 4.5 stars, maybe 4.7. The good points are many. It does everything the manufacturer promises. Very easy to set up and adjust (fast trial and error adjustments) so you can practice the shots you want; huge ball hopper; PLENTY of speed for developing players; easy to charge, holds a charge well; you can buy an A/C power pack for just over $100; unit packs down to nice storage and transport size; if patient you can buy a “discolored” perfectly operating iSam from MasterSports (the manufacturer) on eBay for a nice discount.

Why I don’t give it 5 stars: Claimed weight is 30 lbs, but I weighed it at 40 (bathroom scale went from my 180 to 220 when holding the iSam), and although it does have carry straps, it is awkward to carry more than just a few feet. Would be nice if item were designed with 2 wheels on one side and had some kind of extensible handle so that you could tilt and roll it like a luggage carrier. After only a small amount of use, I decided to buy a luggage hand cart to make it easier to move to/from the car, etc. Strong / young adults will not give the weight a second thought. Some women and especially older individuals (like me) would apppreciate a built-in easier way to transport the unit. For a hopper, I recommend the basic Gamma pro 85 ball hopper (not the more expensive and heavier “gold” model). Good combo of capacity, durability, weight, and overall utility

    I LOVE IT!

I am so happy I purchased this machine. Have used it about 8 times without one problem. I did a lot of research and chose this one because of the weight. I am a healthy 50 something female 3.0 player and wanted something i could haul around. I am able to take it in and out of my SUV easily. I am so glad I did not buy one of the other heavier ones as this is about all the weight I could handle. I was concerned about the 60mph ball speed thinking i needed a much faster one. I have yet to crank it up to the highest speed. What a workout this machine gives. It lobs, oscillates and spits them out as fast or slow as needed. I love practicing my volleys with the oscillator on. You will have to move the machine half way into the court for the oscillator. Love the lob feature to practice my overheads. Though the machine holds 250 balls, I use 150 as I am frankly glad to have the break time to pick up the balls. I practice my serves in between. I can’t attest to how it will be in the future mechanical wise but i have not had some of the problems others have without them working from the first try and spending twice the money. The battery on mine lasts 2 hours and it has never died on me playing yet. It is a great tennis partner! love it!
